Books & Bagels

Saturday, January 9, 2-3 p.m.
For Grades 4-6

Join us this Saturday for a fun discussion of the book My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George.  Share your thoughts about this fascinating story of survival, munch on bagels, and learn some wilderness survival skills!  Outdoor educator, Coy Heath, will join us to teach a sampling of wilderness survival skills similar to those that Sam Gribley taught himself during his year of living in the wild.  If you have ever wondered about what you can eat in the wild, how to build a shelter, how to track animals, or how to enjoy a greater appreciation of the natural world, then this meeting is for you!  Don't worry if you haven't finished reading the book--everyone is welcome.  Free copies of My Side of the Mountain are available for participants, while supplies last, or you can borrow a copy from the library's collection.  Stop by the library to sign up and pick up your copy today!
