As the school year ends, Baby Time and Story Time will shift from their regular weekly schedule to a special summer schedule!  We are excited to offer a fantastic programming line-up this summer which will be announced soon! Next week will be the last week of our regularly scheduled Baby Times and Story Times. 

Baby Time will take place on Monday, May 13th, 10:30-11 am.
The last date for Baby Time is Wednesday, May 15th, 10:30-11 am.

The last day for Story Time is Friday, May 17th, 10:30-11:15 am.

 
     Storytime and Babytime will be taking a spring break from Monday,April 1st - Friday, April 5th.  Both programs will resume the week of April 8th.

 BabyTime is a beginning storytime for babies under age 2.  BabyTime is one-on-one fun with nursery rhymes, songs, books and play time. No registration is necessary.  Just come when you are able.  Each child must be accompanied by an adult; no siblings please.

This beginning story time for babies under age 2 features rhymes, songs, puppets, and sharing a book with your baby. Each baby must be accompanied by an adult. No older siblings, please.

No registration is required.

Twice-weekly BabyTime sessions will begin September 10. These sessions take place on Mondays and Wednesdays 10:30-11 am.

BabyTime and StoryTime programs are taking a vacation until 2012!

StoryTime resumes Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 10:30 am & 6:30 pm.

Our popular BabyTime and StoryTime programs resume the week of September 12.

BabyTime is a beginning, one-on one story and rhyming time for children under the age of 2. 
BabyTime sessions are Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 am. 
Each child must be accompanied by an adult. No siblings, please. No registration is required.

StoryTime is intended for children ages 2-5 and includes stories, rhymes and a craft.
StoryTime sessions are Tuesdays at 10:30 am & 6:30 pm and Fridays at 10:30 am.
Caregivers of 2-year olds must stay in the room. All other caregivers are welcome to stay in the story time room or may choose to remain in another location in the library. If a caregiver brings younger children, the caregiver must remain in the room. No registration is required.

10:30-11:00 a.m.

Join us for songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and simple stories in a variety of languages!  This is a collaborative baby time, so everyone is welcome to share a song, fingerplay, or rhyme in a language other than English or from a world culture.  Though sharing is encouraged, it is not a requirement to attend.

The last portion of this session will include some time to play together and make new friends.

Each baby must be accompanied by an adult.  As this is a special time for babies, we ask that no older siblings attend. For Ages 23 months and under.

BabyTime is a beginning "story time" featuring nursery rhymes, songs, books, and free play time intended for children ages 2 and under. This is an interactive time, so each child should be accompanied by an adult. No siblings, please.
There are two sessions each week: 
Monday 10:30-11 am with Miss Lezlee 
Wednesday 10:30-11 am with Miss JoJo. 

StoryTime features stories, a craft, rhymes and songs and is intended for children ages 2-5. Parents/caregivers of 2-year-olds must remain in the story time room. All other adults may choose to stay in the room or not, depending on if your child is able to be an independent listener, but adults must remain in the library. 
We have four sessions each week:
Tuesday 10:30-11:15 am with Miss Karrie
Tuesday 6:30-7:15 pm with Miss Lezlee
Thursday 1:30-2:15 pm  with Miss JoJo                                 
Friday 10:30-11:15 am with Miss Lezlee

Themes are chosen for each week. September themes are:

Dogs (Sept 21-24)
Apples (Sept 28-Oct 1)

 The Very Hungry Caterpillar will visit the East Lansing Public Library for a special story time on Sunday, October 25 from 2-3 pm. Join us for stories and a craft. Great photo opportunity! FREE!
