Is your child entering kindergarten this fall?

The East Lansing Public Library has many picture books about getting ready to go to kindergarten that you can share with your child. Click here for our Welcome, Kindergarten! booklist.

You will also want to mark your calendar for our 6th annual Welcome Kindergarten! event on Wednesday, August 22, 2-3 pm. Come for a story time featuring local kindergarten teachers and finish with a craft. Please register for this event starting August 8 in person or by phone, 351-2420, ext 5.

Is your child entering kindergarten this fall?

If so, sign your child up for Welcome, Kindergarten!, a special story time just for children who will be entering kindergarten in fall 2011.

East Lansing kindergarten teachers - Mrs. Cawood (Donley), Mrs. McFee (St. Thomas), & Mrs. Sung (Marble) - will share stories, songs, and action rhymes.  Finish off the hour by making a special kindergarten craft.

IS YOUR CHILD ENTERING KINDERGARTEN THIS FALL?


If so, please join us for "Welcome Kindergarten!", a special story time just for children entering kindergarten this fall. 

Children will listen to stories about starting kindergarten, sing songs, and do a craft. Joining us as guest readers will be Mrs. Cawood from Donley Elementary School, Mrs. McFee from St. Thomas Aquinas School, and Mrs. Roseth from Marble Elementary School.

This FREE program is limited to children entering kindergarten in fall 2010.  No older or younger siblings, please.

Please register for this program by calling 517-351-2420, ext. 4. You may also register at the library on the sign-up sheet at the Children's Reference Desk.

Back by popular demand!  Hurry! Space is limited.

Join us for a special reading time with a trained therapy dog. Each session will last 10 minutes. Bring your own book or choose one at the library.
