Teens, are you looking for a great volunteer opportunity this summer? Reading stories to children is fun and rewarding, especially when it is done at MSU’s Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden. If you are entering grades 7-12 in the fall, you are invited to be a part of a story-telling team for Stories in the Garden, an award-winning program, now in its 15th year. This special planning session is held at the library where you will learn tips about reading to children, find a storytelling partner, choose appropriate books and practice reading out loud.
Have you ever thought about keeping chickens? Lots of people have! The currenturban homesteadingmovement has generated considerable interest in raising chickens sustainably in both urban and rural environments.
