Be Counted in 2010
2010 is almost upon us, and you know what that means? Time to be counted! The U.S. Census is taken every 10 years and helps determine the following:
- Locations for schools, roads, hospitals, child-care and senior citizen centers, and more.
- Locations for supermarkets, shopping centers, new housing and other facilities.
- How many seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives as well as the boundaries of legislative districts.
Census Day is April 1, 2010, and census questionnaires will be mailed or delivered to households during February and March. For more info, go to the official web site: www.census.gov/2010census.
