Love architecture? Curious about buildings and houses in East Lansing? If you are interested in or have information about modernist architecture (1940-1970) in East Lansing, please join this community discussion led by Dr. Susan J. Bandes, Professor in the Department of Art/Art History/Design at Michigan State University. In collaboration with the East Lansing Public Library and the State Historic Preservation Office, MSU students are contributing to a statewide inventory (michiganmodern.org). Come learn about the project.

2012 Hugo Winners Announced

Better Living Book Club: Kindred Spirits!

Join us Monday, Sept. 10 at 7:00 pm as we discuss Kindred Spirits: how the remarkable bond between humans and animals can change the way we live by Allen M. Schoen, DVM.  The author, a holistic vet, shares his belief that there is more to medicine than drugs and that disease can be prevented and treated through nutrition, exercise, love, compassion, and the formation of meaningful bonds with other species.   Dr. Anne Rice, a local holistic vet with twenty-five years of experience, will join us to share her perspective on animals and the book. We should have a great night sharing our experiences with our animal companions.
