December Newsletter: Giving Tuesday and Holiday Help!
Check out what’s going on at the library in this month’s newsletter.
Featured: Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 to celebrate the power of generosity and kindness. Celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving following days like Black Friday or Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a day to support non-profit organizations and give back to your community.
Want to support your library and your favorite local businesses at the same time? Purchase gift cards from Schuler Books, Big Apple Bagels, and Wild Birds Unlimited - East Lansing and donate them to the library for Giving Tuesday. We’ll use those gift cards to support our programs. Learn more on our blog.
Looking for other ways to give ELPL a hand? Check out these other ways to give:
- With a donation through our website via credit card, or by mailing a check
- Designating us in your Kroger Community Rewards account
- Share your voice in the community! Tell your friends about library resources! Share ELPL's social media posts! Call an elected official to share why you think supporting libraries is valuable!
What we do is also supported by our Friends! The Friends of the East Lansing Public Library do a lot of hard work to support us and the community we serve. Make sure to show them some love by checking out their used bookstore or buying some of their merch. You can also donate gently used books or volunteer your time to help them!
We appreciate all the love and support we receive from the community. Thank you for your generosity, as it allows us to keep doing all the cool things we love to do!
