September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! We're going big this year, with giveaways, discounts at local businesses, and more.
Giveaways: During the month of September, renew, sign up for, or show your library card at our front desk and enjoy a free sticker and one other item of choice! We’re giving out free wallets and phone card holders, water bottles, chapstick, sunglasses, and pens to celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month!
Discounts: During the month of September, if you show your East Lansing Public Library card to participating businesses, you'll be eligible for a discount on goods and services at check-out! Valid for in-person purchases only, unless otherwise specified. Check out the list below for more details.
- Biggby (Lake Lansing & Abbott): $1 off any drink
- Constellation Cat Cafe: $3 off a cat room visit (code "ELPL" for online booking only)
- Dave's Hot Chicken East Lansing: 10% off order
- Jolly Pumpkin: 20% off
- Mahabir Wellness: 20% off natural skincare treatments and a complimentary mini mental health consultation.
- PKSA (Professional Karate Schools of America) East Lansing: ½ off the membership price for the first three months after sign-up and a free beginner dobak. (Free trial class also available so people can see what it's like before signing up.)
- Quark! East Lansing: 10% off one item of choice
