On December 17 East Lansing's Prime Time Strummers performed a holiday concert at the library. Founded in 2012, the Prime Time Strummers started with a core group of a dozen members and over the past five years their ranks have swelled to sixty ukulele enthusiasts. Music is wonderful way to bring people together to learn, sing, play, and get to know one another and the ukulele is the perfect channel for this. During the concert Music is the Foundation 501(c)3), a Lansing based non-profit that supports ukulele programs in area classrooms and communities donated two ukuleles and teaching materials to the library. Look for those instruments to be available for check-out in 2018.
