Summer Reading Success!

The 2024 summer reading program wrapped up on August 17, and it was a great success! Thanks to everyone who participated this year!

Engagement!

We had a ton of fun this summer at our programs (in-library) and outreach (in the community). Some annual favorites returned, like Stories in the Garden and Shark Day, and we tried some new things like adult LEGO night and our BookWyrm mini-con. We look forward to carrying our momentum into the fall! Keep an eye on our events page for all the details.

Reading Goals Met!

This year, we switched to a new tracking platform, Beanstack. Using Beanstack we were able to set community goals for the summer, namely to collectively read 1,000 books. We're excited to share that we met this goal on August 6, ultimately exceeding it with 1,182 books read total! That's a LOT of reading!

Prizes:

Stop by the library this week to pick up your completion prizes, if you haven't already. We'll also be contacting the winners of our grand prize drawings!

Thanks again!

Thanks again for adventuring with us this summer! There's a lot we're excited to share with you this fall, so keep an eye on our website and social media (@elplibrary) for more details.
