As a child, my mom always let me help her prepare our Christmas cards. Our family had these very cool cards that had tags with all of our names on them, and every year was a totally new scene. One year the card was a cookie jar and all of us were different kinds of cookies. Another year we were in a sleigh. I remember punching out the tags and placing them in the cards and how much fun my mom and I had doing this. Looking back on it, I’m sure my “help” didn’t make the process easier for her! For me and my husband, decorating the Christmas tree is a day we still look forward to – even though our kids are now in their 30’s! It doesn’t matter what your family traditions are, or maybe you are still figuring them out, it’s the time spent with each other that matters. My daughter and I annually make time to watch my favorite Christmas movie “Miracle on 34th Street”. So, take a break from all of the craziness and slow down together. Here are some other titles to cozy up with and share some holiday cheer!
It's time to snuggle up under a blanket and enjoy some seasonal favorites.
