The East Lansing Public Library occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinaabeg Three Fires confederacy of Ojibwe, Odawa and Potawatomi peoples land ceded in the 1819 Treaty of Saginaw.
1. Call to Order 5:33 p.m.

Trustees present: Pamela Smith, Shawn Nicholson, and Ameenah Asante. Trustees Polly Synk and Amy Zaagman were excused. Also present were Friends President Liesel Carlson, Library Director Kevin King, and Executive Assistant to Library Director Shori Teeple. Two guests present.

3.1 Approval of Current Meeting Agenda as amended
Items 8A Consent Agenda and 8B Naming Rights Policy under Old Business removed.

- October 22-26 Friends of Libraries week.
- September revenues $3,800.
- Friends joined staff for Sparticipation event.

8.1 Board Bylaws - First reading of proposed amendments to Bylaws IV.9 and IV.10 -- Action
- Motion to approve the following amendments to the bylaws: modifying IV.9 and IV.10 Order of Business to create a consent agenda process as marked up in the packet.
